Speed up a video
Turn a long recording into a quick one: tutorials, walk-throughs, cooking, travel. Pick 1.25× to 4×; the picture speeds up, and the sound is time-stretched so voices keep their normal pitch.

How to do it
- Open Change speed and drop your file in, or pick it from your device. It stays on your device.
- Check the settings. 2× is preselected. Choose any speed from 1.25× to 4×, and keep or remove the sound.
- Press Run, then preview and download the result.
Why the voices don't sound like chipmunks
Simply playing audio faster raises its pitch. Frameloom time-stretches the sound instead, making it shorter without changing its pitch, so speech at 1.5× or 2× stays understandable.
The frame rate is kept at the original's (up to 60 fps) rather than multiplied, which keeps the file small.

- 4×. Above that, speech becomes hard to follow; remove the sound for time-lapse-style results.
- Does the file get smaller?
- Usually yes. A video at 2× is half as long, so roughly half the size.
- Can I speed up only part of a video?
- Trim the part first with the Trim tool, then speed it up.
